Dobrinj, the center of about twenty surrounding villages that together constitute the Municipality of Dobrinj locally known as Dobrinjsko, is situated 200 meters above sea level. Although situated on the northeastern side of the island of Krk, Dobrinjsko partly encompasses the eastern side of the island as well. Geographically, we can divide Dorbinjsko into three parts: Dobrinj, as the center and a separate unit, the villages situated by the sea (Šilo, Klimno, Čižići, Soline, Meline and Rudine) and the hinterland.
