The young cyclists in Labin showed their combativeness, enthusiasm, and love of cycling.
Labin, 24 September 2026 – Today, Labin hosted the third stage of the Kids CRO Race, a project giving youngsters a chance to try their luck at a real cycling competition and feel the atmosphere of a sporting event firsthand. A total of 98 young cyclists competed on turbo trainers, and their combativeness and enthusiasm marked today’s contest.
While each young competitor was there to get the best possible result, there was still time to enjoy socialising with family, friends, and cheering fans.
For years now, Kids CRO Race has been introducing children to cycling in the best possible way—through a virtual race that allows them to experience real conditions just like professionals. During the race, children learn about the importance of sport, perseverance, and sportsmanship.
First place in this year’s Kids CRO Race in Labin in the 9-10-year-old category was taken by Lena Licul and Roko Griparić, while the winners in the 11-12-year-old category were Katarina Pavlović and Valentino Peteani. Second place went to Sara Poldrugo and Ian Šverko in the 9-10-year-old category and to Fabiana Fonović and David Mrak in the 11-12-year-old category. Paola Milevoj and Gabriel Zahtila took third in the 9-10-year-old category, as did Ema Žilić and Matej Burulčić in the 11-12-year-old category.
The next Kids CRO Race will be held on 25 September in Rijeka, and the overall winners will be announced on 27 September in Zagreb at the final awards ceremony.
