The final stage of this year’s Kids CRO Race in Zagreb drew a total of 57 kids.
ZAGREB, 27 September 2026 – Today in Zagreb saw the final stage of the seventh virtual Kids CRO Race, a project introducing cycling to young kids in a fun, appealing way. The last stage at Zagreb’s Jarun lake included 57 competitors, who went head-to-head on professional turbo trainers. The competitors in the virtual race had the chance to experience the same real conditions as professional cyclists. The exciting race was followed by numerous fans who loudly cheered on the young competitors.
The last stage in Zagreb was held just before the grand finale of the 11th CRO Race, allowing the children to briefly become part of a big international sporting event. The organisers thanked all the participants, schools, partners, and fans that supported this year’s edition. “Every year, Kids CRO Race brings numerous young competitors who, through a virtual race, learn about the importance of an active lifestyle, perseverance, and good sportsmanship. Every year, a large number of kids register for the race, and this year we had almost 500 of them, and we’re exceptionally proud of that,” said Kids CRO Race manager Gracian Čop.
First place at this year’s Kids CRO Race in Zagreb in the 9-10-year-old category went to Dora Topić and Patrik Trboglav Brego, and to Katarina Bobetko and Roko Kutija in the 11-12-year-old category. Second place in the 9-10-year-old category went to Paula Miholjević and Sven Vodopija, and to Matea Miholjević and Fran Herceg in the 11-12-year-old category. Tonka Troskot and Niko Staničić took third place in the 9-10-year-old category, while Noela Zovko and Luka Hruškovec took third in the 11-12-year-old category.
First place in the general classification went to Aria Mataruga and Roko Griparić in the 9-10-year-old category and to Katarina Pavlović and Antonio Kos in the 11-12-year-old category. Second place in the GC went to Dora Topić and Dino Predović in the 9-10-year-old category and Dorotea Lautar and Valentino Peteani in the 11-12-year-old category. Third place in the 9-10-year-old category went to Dora Niksic and Niko Pejic, and Fabiana Fonović and David Mrak in the 11-12-year-old category. The highest-ranking competitors in the general classification won Kraš chocolate factory gift packages and STORM SHARK 2.0 2HD 27.5″ bikes, BMX ROYAL TORNADO FREESTYLE 20″ bikes, and CRATONI WILDCAT helmets provided by partner A2U Bikes. The winners of this year’s Kids CRO Race will stand onstage alongside the winner of the general classification in the 11th edition of CRO Race.
