LABIN, October 4, 2024 – Although the start of the KIDS CRO Race in Labin was rainy, the children’s enthusiasm drove away the clouds as 96 girls and boys aged 9 to 12 competed on cycling trainers. Excitement was not lacking in the virtual race, which is part of the international CRO Race.
The winners in the 9 to 10-year-old categories are Katarina Pavlović, a student at Matija Vlačić Elementary School, and Martin Prskalo. In the 11 to 12-year-old categories, the winners are Zara Alagić, a student at Ivo Lola Ribar Elementary School, and Rikardo Brenčić from Matija Vlačić Elementary School. The main goal of the KIDS CRO Race competition is to encourage children to engage in sports and recreation in a fun way and provide them with a unique experience alongside professional cyclists.
Thanks to our partner Keindl Sport, bicycles and trainers were provided for all participants again this year, allowing them to ride on an exciting virtual track. Additionally, Keindl Sport educators taught the children about cycling and proper behavior in traffic. KIDS CRO Race is also supported by Kraš, BKOOL, and Elite.
The next KIDS CRO Race will be held on October 5 in Karlovac, with the final race taking place on October 6 in Zagreb. The overall winners will be announced on October 6 in Zagreb at the closing awards ceremony.
