This year, Kids CRO Race once again offers kids a chance to experience the excitement of a real cycling race.
For many participants, Kids CRO Race is more than just a chance to win prizes and the title of ‘fastest in town’—it’s simultaneously the ideal chance to adopt healthy habits and learn about sport and good sportsmanship. All participants tracked their results during the race and gave their all to get the best time possible in the general classification. Rijeka’s young cyclists felt the excitement of a real cycling race, and for at least a short time, became part of a big international spectacle.
First place in this year’s Kids CRO Race in Rijeka went to Aria Mataruga and Dino Predović in the 9-10-year-old category and to Mia Kružić and Borna Rekić in the 11-12-year-old category. Dora Nikšić and Niko Pejić took second place in the 9-10-year-old category, while Melani Nestorović and Fran Došen took second in the 11-12-year-old category. Third place went to Veronika Ivašić and Leut Kocijan Trcol in the 9-10-year-old category and to Mia Yara Ickenstein and Gabriel Mihelčić in the 11-12-year-old category.
The next Kids CRO Race will be held on 26 September in Sveta Nedelja, and the overall winners will be announced on 27 September in Zagreb just before the winner of the CRO Race general classification is announced.
