OPATIJA, October 3 2024 – Not even bad weather was an obstacle to holding the KIDS Cro Race in Opatija – 84 girls and boys competed on virtual trainers in the Rikard Katalinić Jeretov Elementary School hall. This was the fourth of six KIDS CRO Race competitions held, a virtual cycling race for children aged 9 to 12, which is part of the international CRO Race.
The winners in the 9- to 10-year-old categories are Lili Hajdor and Noel Vukelić, pupil from Kantrida Elementary School. Ivona Brumnjak, pupil from Rikard Katalinić Jeretov Elementary School and Borna Šušnjić won in the 11- to 12-year-old categories. The main aim of the KIDS CRO Race is to encourage children to play sports and to provide them with an unforgettable experience.
Thanks to partner Keindl Sport, all competitors are provided with bicycles and trainers this year, on which they will ride an interesting virtual track. Keindl Sport’s educators helped the children to learn how to properly ride a bicycle. Kids CRO Race is also supported by Kraš, BKOOL and Elite.
Next KIDS CRO Race will be held in Labin, and then Karlovac and Zagreb. The overall winners will be announced on October 6 in Zagreb at the finish-line award ceremony.
